FOUNDER AND OWNER:
Shannon Cole holds a Bachelors of Art degree in Spanish and a Masters of Education degree in Foreign Language Education from the University of Georgia. Since 1998, he has taught both English as a Second Language and Spanish at the middle school and university levels. He has also lived and taught in various locations in Mexico for more than three years, most recently serving as English coordinator of a private middle school. He was a former member of Georgia Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (GATESOL) and a current member of MEXTESOL. He holds certification by the Mexican Ministry of Education and the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
“I see a need for quality foreign language services at bargain prices,” Shannon says. “Many people in both Mexico and the U.S. have complained that they are paying out a lot of money for questionable results. I want students to be able to read, write, understand, and hold conversations in their new language. I feel that Cole Institute of Language will be a great way to make that happen, as this school makes communication the heart of its existence.”
